AI Rush Hour answers one question: how busy are AI tools right now? It models global AI usage using regional business-hours curves weighted by each region's share of global AI users, then surfaces the next quiet window so users know when to come back for faster responses.

- ChatGPT weekly active users: 900 million (OpenAI, Feb 2026)
- Gemini monthly active users: 750 million (Google, Feb 2026)
- Regional weights derived from 2026 ChatGPT country-share data via Similarweb, rebalanced against ITU regional internet populations
- Weekday / weekend shape grounded in Cloudflare Radar's 2025 year-in-review, which showed Claude and ChatGPT skew toward weekdays while Perplexity, Grok, and DeepSeek perform better on weekends
- In March 2026 Anthropic publicly confirmed peak-hour rate limiting for Claude, the closest any major lab has come to acknowledging that AI has a rush hour
